This is a youtube video on DACA recipients. In this video they talk to Karen Uvina, she is a graduate student and her experience with DACA. Karen has expressed how her being apart of DACA had made her experience different then others because DACA students had to work harder then others. She has also expressed how many of their funding has came from private scholarships or institutional loans but they are not able to recieve any help from federal loans or any type of grants. Overall even though she has expressed that her experience was very different she was still able to meet other DACA students and help them with their experience as well.
Through this video you are able to see how DACA has helped students but also effected them in so many ways. They were not able to recieve any type of federal loans or grants that usually students that are not immigrants would recieve. Compared to students who are in DACA who are young adults that are immigrants that have came for an education that are protected to be able to get an education but does not a have legal status. Overall, You are able to see the struggless that DACA has caused but also the help it has given for these young adults to be able to have hope by getting an education.
